Step 1: Soak and Sow – Start from the Seed

- Soak seeds:Soak loofah seeds in warm water for 2–4 hours. This softens the seed coat and speeds up germination.
- How to sow: Use a small tray or pot, place seeds about 0.5–1 cm deep in loose, nutrient-rich soil. Press the soil lightly so the seed touches the soil without compacting it.
- Tip: You can sow year-round as long as the soil is warm (25–30°C) and kept slightly moist. If it’s too hot or rainy, provide shade or cover to protect the seeds.

Step 2: Care for Seedlings – Help Them Grow Strong

- Light: Place seedlings in a spot with 4–6 hours of direct sunlight daily. If indoors, a bright window or grow lights work well.
- Watering: Keep the soil evenly moist, but avoid overwatering to prevent root rot.
- Transplanting: Once seedlings have 2–3 true leaves, gently transplant into larger pots or your garden. Make a small hole, place the roots, cover lightly with soil, and press gently.
- Fertilizing: Use balanced NPK fertilizer or organic compost around the base to strengthen roots, stems, and leaves.

Step 3: Planting in the Garden and Harvesting – Keep Fruit Coming Year-Round

- Spacing: Plant 60–80 cm apart with 70–100 cm between rows so leaves and fruits don’t overcrowd.
- Care: Water consistently and fertilize regularly. Prune old leaves or weak branches to let the plant focus energy on fruit production.
- Harvest: Fruits ripen in 40 –60 days. Harvest regularly to encourage continuous fruiting.
- Tip: With proper light, temperature, and nutrients, eggplant can produce year-round, giving multiple harvests per year.

High yield: Produces large harvests, with many fruits/vegetables per plant.
